Description
Complete renovation of a 1930’s era former barracks building on the old Sand Point Naval Station. It contains 148 affordable housing units, an early learning education center, and a community health clinic. It included multiple funders and five separate construction contracts.
The 240,000 square foot building, originally constructed between 1929 and 1944, is on the National Register of Historic Places but had been unoccupied for more than twenty years and had fallen into disrepair.
