Dwell at Kent Station
Category
Multi-Family Residential of the Year
Description
Dwell at Kent Station is a 154-unit residential apartment building in the heart of downtown Kent, Washington, and the final piece of the multi-phased Kent Station project. The 18-acre mixed-use development served as a major step in the City of Kent’s redevelopment and downtown revitalization. Working with the City of Kent, Tarragon achieved the renewal of the once industrial area of downtown and transformed it into a thriving community with the urban-living conveniences of dining, shopping, entertainment and transportation.
Dwell at Kent Station is one of two podium-style apartment buildings in Kent and was designed, inside and out, to have modern style and to fill what Tarragon determined was an unmet demand for south-end renters who wanted to live an urban lifestyle. The building was designed to have high-quality finishes and amenities in South King County and to promote walking, biking, transit use and recycling.
