Tommy Bahama Corporate Headquarters
Category
Commercial Interior of the Year
Description
As the first tenant in Skanska’s 400 Fairview mixed-use office building, Tommy Bahama fully aligned with its value of focusing on the user experience by relocating its corporate headquarters to the new, sustainable, 120,000-square-foot space. Skanska teamed with SkB Architects to design a flexible, open floor plan that represents the Tommy Bahama brand in a healthful environment that fosters team interactions. This is achieved via ample natural daylight from a side-loaded core and outdoor accessibility on its fourth-floor deck overlooking South Lake Union. The project achieved schedule and budget goals, along with a high quality, tailored design that matches Tommy Bahama’s “Make Life One Long Weekend” credo and brand. Tommy Bahama is not your typical corporate office environment; it is a studio that captures the essence of brand and a place where the craft of clothing and lifestyle come together.
