Redevelopment/Renovation of the Year
Description
Benaroya 6100 is a 229,000-square-foot, five-story Class A office building in Seattle’s dynamic Georgetown neighborhood. Revamp features include expansive energy-efficient curtain wall windows, high-efficiency HVAC and lighting, a fully renovated lobby, state-of-the-art, 100-person conference room, fitness center, child care center, upgraded restrooms and secure bicycle storage. Difficulties faced were modernizing a dissimilar-use, challenging 1970’s structure built in three phases into a cohesive design capable of meeting the needs of present-day tenants.
