Mixed-Use Development of the Year
Description
Angeline resurrected a neglected superblock within the Columbia City Landmark District with 193 new apartments and 30,000 square feet of street level retail anchored by PCC Natural Markets. Redevelopment extends the historic district’s smaller scale blocks, streets and alleys to neighboring Columbia Park, a circulation spine for light rail commuters. The PCC overlooks and enlivens the park with a bustling outdoor dining area, while two surrounding streets designed as woonerfs put pedestrians before cars.
