Description
Liberty Bank Building is a mixed-use affordable housing development in Seattle’s Central District, developed by a groundbreaking partnership between Africatown Community Land Trust, the Black Community Impact Alliance, Capitol Hill Housing and Byrd Barr Place. Located on the site of the former Liberty Bank, the first bank in the Pacific Northwest serving the African American community, this project honors a rich history while addressing gentrification and displacement, and maximizing community empowerment.
